Writing isn't speaking

You may be in a position to do public speaking, lead a presentation, read from a script, or give a speech.

Maybe you also already feel that your american English pronunciation has good vowels, consonants, and basic sounds.

However, you may also notice that when you go from written language to spoken language,
you don't sound natural.

Truly natural speech requires a concept called contrast.

when you hear native speakers talk, they are constantly changing the pitches they use, their volume, their speed, and how often they pause.

You may also notice native speakers using reductions, linking, and other tools for natural, conversational speech.

If you feel that people are having some difficulty understanding you, or that your speech is flat/monotone/robotic,
Text to life is the workshop for you!

I’m required to imitate the speech and got instant feedback in how well I did or where I could improve, which I found very helpful

After I tried applying what geoff taught us, I realized how effective it is

Not only do you focus on sounds and connected speech but also on placement and airflow, which is crucial to sound natural

straightforward towards the elimination of a foreign accent, full of examples, practical

It was good to have spontaneous review from Geoff. I can’t wait to watch and practice again and again.

Now that I heard people speaking, I can recognize those patterns that I had learnt and that helps me to improve my speech over time.

I really enjoy taking the course.
